Dr. Kevin Stoothoff
South Ocala Animal Clinic was founded by Dr. Hogan in 1961.
Dr. Kevin Stoothoff began working at this clinic in February 2007,
and then purchased South Ocala Animal Clinic in January 2008, when Dr. Hogan retired.
Dr. Stoothoff has been a veterinarian since 1993, graduating from Mississippi
State University with honors. Prior to veterinary school, he taught Agriculture
in the Marion County School System.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University
of Florida ('82) and an Associate of Art degree from Central Florida Community
College ('80). He has been a resident of Ocala since 1978.
“I have wanted to be a veterinarian since I was maybe eight years old. I consider myself blessed to fulfill my
lifelong dream to be able to help pets and their owners. Further, my wife Terry shares my love of animals, and
we are surrounded by supportive family and friends, and have a wonderful staff. Life is good”
Professional associations include: American Veterinary Medical Association, Florida Veterinary Medical Association,
small animal representative (and past-president) of the Marion County Veterinary Medical Association.
He was a past-president of Blessed Trinity Parish Council and is currently involved with numerous other church ministries. |

Dr. Lisa Dowd
Dr. Lisa Laviola-Dowd graduated from Ross University in 1991 with high honors. Dr. Lisa worked
as an equine veterinarian for several years before returning to small animal medicine and joining the team
at South Ocala Animal clinic in September, 2009. She and her husband John have two children, Alexandra and John.

Terry - Business Manager
Terry enjoys being involved with multiple ministries at Blessed Trinity Church, and is pursuing advanced studies in religious education.

Patricia - Receptionist
Staying busy with four children, Patricia is active both at home and with Church activities. She and her husband Dan enjoy football and are remodeling an older home here in Ocala. Pets include a cockatiel named Taco, and a cat named Little Man.

Torrie - Technician
Skydiving, texting, cheerleading and dancing are some of her favorite activities. She has 3 dogs named Chewy, Sophie and Raggs; a bird and fish.

Dusty - Groomer
Dusty has been providing quality grooming at South Ocala for three years. She takes pride in her work,
and is accepting new clients. Her daughters are Scarlett and Leigha.

Christine
Christine is a veterinary assistant, who also has advanced training in laser therapy,
and is certified with the American Institute of Medical Laser Applications (AIMLA).

Erin
Growing up on a cattle ranch, Erin has been involved with animals her whole life.
She enjoys being with her husband, 2 beautiful daughters and 5 dogs & 2 cats.
Erin is a certified veterinary technician, who also has advanced training in laser
therapy, and is certified with the
American Institute of Medical Laser Applications (AIMLA).

Pam
Married to Chris for 12 years, Pam joined the team at South Ocala in 2011.
She has a son Keith, and daughter is named Samantha. Pam is active with her husband
at Blessed Trinity Church, and says, “I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to work
here at South Ocala and look forward to a bright future”.
